Oak is one of the densest, hardest wood's native to the Ottawa area. It makes great coals and throws lots of heat, it's great for overnight heating because it burns so long. We sell cords of just Oak, Red, White, and Bur. All three species of Oak burn very well and produce excellent heat. The pieces are cut to approx. 16 inch lengths and split to under 6 inches in diameter.
Right not we only have freshly cut and split (green) wood in stock. It would need to be left to dry for burning next fall, it's a great way to stock up because the price is reduced and you know your wood will be dry and ready when you need it.
